What’s it like?
A short circular walk along the River Wensum and through Norwich’s historic cathedral quarter. The Riverside Walk section (apart from Quayside) closes at dusk.
What wildlife lives there?
You can see swans and other waterfowl on the river, as well as cormorants who frequently visit the city. Depending on the time of day you walk you may catch a rare glimpse of an otter hunting near the riverbank.
What else is there to see?
On the walk you can see fascinating remnants of Norwich’s ancient past, including the 15th century watergate Pull’s Ferry, the Cow Tower, the Adam and Eve pub (which is the oldest pub in Norwich) as well as Erpingham Gate and the Cathedral Grounds, which are the largest in the country.
