Castle Marshes is a broadland site with grazing marsh, fen and freshwater dykes. In winter the marshes are flooded to create expanses of open water for wintering wildfowl. Bird species found here include Wigeon, Teal, Shoveler, Redshank and Lapwing. Castle Marshes are also a great spot to find Norfolk hawker dragonflies and Blue-tailed damselfys.
Access by parking at North Cove car park and walking along the Angles Way footpath.
Suffolk Wildlife Trust is appealing to purchase and restore 384 acres of land in the Broads National Park. To find out more and donate please visit https://www.suffolkbroads.org.uk
