Norfolk Wherry Trust – The Albion

Attractions

There are several ways you can experience Albion, all looked after by experienced crew.

You can either book one or more places on a sailing trip on Albion or you can charter the whole wherry for up to 12 family and friends. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the sailing if you wish to, otherwise sit back and enjoy the view.

A series of Open Days allow members of the public to board the vessel on static display and to become acquainted with the heritage and history of the wherries.

Norfolk Wherry Trust has 600 members and is entirely a volunteer organisation with no paid employees. New members can train as crew, join the maintenance teams on Thursday and Saturday mornings, to share the Albion story with visitors on Open Days and planned visits and to take on a multitude of ‘backroom’ tasks and are always welcome.

Volunteers come as novices and experienced sailors. Members live throughout the United Kingdom and span the world.
