Established in 2014, Wardley Hill Campsite is an award-winning, family-run, eco-friendly retreat nestled in the heart of the Waveney Valley, close to both the Norfolk Broads and the Suffolk coast. Our off-grid campsite offers a natural haven where wildflowers, hares, and shrews thrive, creating a serene environment for those seeking a true connection with nature. Here, camping spots are surrounded by lush, untrimmed grass, offering both intimate, secluded spaces and larger areas for bigger tents.
Spanning twelve acres, our site features woodland, a gentle stream, and three seasonal ponds that can be safely explored during the summer. Our six-acre, car-free camping field is perfect for tents, while campervans and vehicles with rooftop tents have their own designated area. For those looking for a unique Norfolk glamping experience, we offer two charming handcrafted cabins: The Tiny House and The Tinker’s Hut. We also provide an exclusive field for 4×4 expedition vehicles, complete with its own shower.
Our facilities provide a true back-to-nature experience, with clean composting toilets, a urinal, and two open-topped hot showers. Drinking water is available throughout the site, and campfires are encouraged using our fire drums. Dogs on leads are warmly welcomed, and our recreation field offers a space where they (and campers) can roam freely. It’s the perfect spot for a game of cricket, flying a kite, or simply enjoying the great outdoors.
At Wardley Hill, we focus on simple pleasures—relaxing under the expansive East Anglian sky, cooking over open fires, and watching dragonflies dance by. There are no electric hook-ups, hot tubs, or numbered pitches, just the quiet beauty of nature all around you.
Whether you’re pitching a tent, bringing your campervan, or opting for a glamping experience, Wardley Hill is your peaceful countryside escape. Come and enjoy a truly relaxing stay in the beautiful South Norfolk landscape.
