What happens when salt water reaches places that depend on fresh water?
Join the Broads Society for the first of its 2026–27 Society Supper Debates, exploring Saline Incursion – a Growing Threat to the Broads.
With Steve Lane and Friends, we’ll explore what saline incursion means for the Broads, why it matters and what it could mean for the future of this extraordinary freshwater landscape.
And, because this is a Society Supper Debate, the conversation doesn’t belong only to the speakers. There’ll be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, hear different perspectives and join the discussion.
This first evening is also Curry Night, so come along for good food, informed conversation and the chance to meet others who care about the Broads.
