A delightfully old pub with a long history. We have been serving boating holiday makers, bird watchers, cyclists, hikers and, of course, locals for many years.
We are a short walk from Ludham Bridge, on the River Ant (approx 500 metres). Our outdoor seating areas look over open fields and marshes towards the iconic Thurne Mill and St. Benets Abbey.
We serve delicious food and a range of real ales, supporting our local micro-breweries.
Our menu changes seasonally, enhanced by our chef’s ‘Daily Special’ selection. In winter 2018 we introduced Lava Stone cooking, in addition to the main menu. ‘Hot Rocks’ is where your choice of steak, fish or duck is brought to you on a lava rock for you to cook to your taste. You can find this on our menu. (Not available in school holiday periods).
We also have a large choice of meals suitable for people with food intolerances and allergies, vegetarians and vegan diners. See our menu on the website.
There’s a children’s play area together with a large field for camping and tourers.
