Loddon’s oldest pub, and best kept secret, is a continental style café and traditional craft ale house all under one roof – there’s a delightful beer garden too!
Delicious, tailormade, home-baked baps or a ‘design your own’ English breakfast are served from early in the morning. It’s all cooked freshly to order. All eggs are free range, the milk is organic, and the pork sausages and bacon are rare breed from the farm up the road – Lowestoft smoked kippers are also available!
“We are passionate about our food – all procured with the utmost regard to provenance, ethics and the environment.”
The same care is taken with your loose-leaf tea and freshly ground coffee. Scones are baked daily, using stone-ground flour from Letheringsett Water Mill, or you can choose from one of Frank’s homemade cakes – gluten free options also available.
Why not call and book one of the already famous sharing platters? Choose from the ‘arable array’, charcuterie board or a delicious fish platter. Large parties can be catered for.
There’s a huge choice of regional, craft ales, lagers and ciders – even the sprits are local! Award-wining wine, however, including quality reds, whites, rosé and sparkling are imported from the family vineyard.
"If it's not crafted it's not here!"
