On Saturday 7 November, Norwich Gilbert and Sullivan will present a costumed concert version of ‘THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE’ at St. Cuthbert’s Church, Wroxham Road, Sprowston, Norwich NR7 8TZ at 2.30pm.

The principals include David Ivins, Tim Hurst-Brown, Andrew Inglis, Kevin Jeckells, Luke Davey, Becky Pick, Beverley McInnes, Teresa Clayton and Pam Warren. There is a strong supporting chorus. Patrick Monk is the Musical Director, Peter Woods is the accompanist and the Director is Tim Hurst-Brown.

Among many delightful songs in the show are ‘Poor wand’ring one’, ‘I am the very model of a modern Major-General’, ‘When the foeman bears his steel’, ‘With cat-like tread’ and ‘A Policeman’s lot is not a happy one’. Gilbert and Sullivan enthusiasts now have a great opportunity to hear Sir Arthur Sullivan’s captivating music coupled with W.S. Gilbert’s biting wit in this exciting and rollicking concert version of ‘PIRATES’.

Entrance is free, though there is a suggested donation of £5 to help defray expenses. Refreshments will be served during the interval.
