Outney Meadow Caravan Park

Camping

Outney Meadow is a family run caravan park set next to the River Waveney on the Norfolk-Suffolk border. It is very close to the southern Broads and within walking distance of the pretty market town of Bungay. The caravan park is also next to Outney Common, a large loop of land by the river with excellent walks and birdwatching opportunities. Close by you will also find a golf course.

Set in 8-acres of grounds, the campsite has 75 grassy pitches with facilities for tents and motor homes, some with electric hook ups. (If your tent is bigger than 4m wide x 6m deep you will need to call to make special arrangements.)

This is a very quiet camp site and it is supervised at night. There is a toilet and shower block with hot showers and a laundry.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead and there is a special dog walking area.

This is the perfect area for canoeing as we are right on the River Waveney and you can bring your own canoes or hire them from us. Canoeing is a peaceful and silent way to get to know the river and area, allowing you to get very close to nature and see lots of wildlife close up including swans, herons and kingfishers, damselflies, butterflies and dragonflies.

The historic market town of Bungay has attractive, individual shops ranging from antiques to delicatessen foods; restaurants and tea shops; a swimming pool and sports centre; and a number of historic buildings.

The Broads National Park is on your doorstep stretching from Beccles in the south to Stalham in the north and there’s loads of opportunities to hire boats and get on the water and discover these unique and beautiful waterways.
