Beccles Quay is the gateway to the full range of facilities and services in Beccles – the town centre is a ten-minute walk from the Quay. Within the old market town of Beccles, with its regular Friday Market, there are a wonderful selection of cafes and restaurants to suit all palettes. For those seeking more, then Beccles Public Hall offers a wide range of events, or you could head to our very own outdoor heated swimming pool, Beccles Lido. The Lido is also the base for the Big Dog Ferry who run trips between Beccles and the secluded Locks Inn at Geldeston.
We have Quay and river heading moorings for hire, either by annual permit or for casual hire on daily basis, some with electric hook-ups. Showers available. Harbour Master is on site seven days per week to support moorers. The Quay also has a modern children’s play area and large open space ideal for picnics. Five minutes’ walk away is the start of the Beccles Marsh Trail, with riverside walks in peaceful surroundings.
